Welcome to the Haines City Juneteenth Heritage Coalition ("HCJHC," "we," "our," or "us"). These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our website located at https://www.hainescityjuneteenth.org (the "Website"), as well as your participation in our events, programs, volunteer opportunities, memberships, sponsorships, donations, and other services offered by HCJHC.

By accessing or using this Website, registering for an event, making a donation, submitting an application, or otherwise engaging with HCJHC, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our Website or services.

HCJHC is a nonprofit organization recognized as tax-exempt under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.

Purpose of the Website

This Website exists to support HCJHC's educational and charitable mission by providing information about Juneteenth, promoting community engagement, sharing upcoming events and programs, accepting donations, recruiting volunteers, registering participants, recognizing sponsors, and celebrating the history and culture of Juneteenth.

Nothing on this Website should be interpreted as legal, financial, medical, or professional advice.

 Eligibility

By using this Website, you represent that:

 Donations

HCJHC gratefully accepts charitable donations to support its mission and community programs.

By making a donation, you acknowledge that:

  • Donations are intended to support HCJHC's charitable mission.

Payments are processed securely through trusted third-party payment processors. HCJHC does not store complete credit card numbers or other sensitive payment credentials.

Unless otherwise required by law or expressly stated for a specific fundraising campaign, donations are considered voluntary and are generally non-refundable.

Tax receipts will be provided when appropriate under applicable law.

Event Registration

When registering for an HCJHC event, you agree to:

  • Conduct yourself respectfully toward staff, volunteers, participants, vendors, performers, and community members.

  • Comply with applicable safety requirements.

HCJHC reserves the right to deny or revoke participation if an individual's conduct threatens the safety, well-being, or enjoyment of others or disrupts the event.

Event schedules, speakers, performers, activities, venues, and dates are subject to change without prior notice due to weather, public safety concerns, operational needs, or circumstances beyond HCJHC's control.

Volunteers

Individuals volunteering with HCJHC agree to:

  • Provide truthful information during the application process.

  • Follow organizational policies and event procedures.

  • Treat participants, fellow volunteers, and staff with respect.

  • Perform assigned duties responsibly.

  • Maintain the confidentiality of any sensitive information learned while volunteering.

Volunteer positions are unpaid unless otherwise stated in writing and do not create an employment relationship.

HCJHC may discontinue a volunteer relationship at any time when it believes doing so is in the best interest of the organization or the community it serves.

 Memberships

If HCJHC offers memberships, applicants agree to provide accurate information and to comply with all membership policies established by the organization.

Membership benefits, eligibility requirements, dues, and privileges may be modified by HCJHC at its discretion.

Membership may be suspended or terminated for violations of these Terms or other organizational policies.

Vendor and Sponsor Applications

Submission of a vendor or sponsorship application does not guarantee acceptance.

HCJHC reserves the right to approve, deny, or revoke vendor or sponsorship participation based on factors including event capacity, mission alignment, safety considerations, compliance with event requirements, and organizational discretion.

Approved vendors and sponsors must comply with all applicable laws, event guidelines, and contractual requirements.
